Perhaps you love your job but feel it's time to move on – or up? Perhaps you feel stuck and uncertain about what you should do next? Many of us know what we don't want to do in our careers, but deciding what direction we want to pursue can be a complex and challenging process.
Museums Australia ACT is offering a practical one-day workshop designed to help you explore career options in the museum sector. The workshop will assist participants work through career and work-life issues and identify your future directions.
Participants will use a range of exercises and tools to examine career drivers and identify directions for development and progression. An emphasis on team roles and communication strategies will form part of the workshop.
This workshop is targeted at early and/or mid-career professionals in any area of a museum. It will be a practical workshop where participants will be guided through a structured process to help gain self knowledge and skills to work through career issues.
The workshop will be facilitated by Kate Cowie. Kate has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, working on museum and heritage industry and career issues.
