More detail

First stop is the stunning Tulip Top Gardens on its first day of the season.

Then onto Goulburn for a special inspection for our group of the Historic Waterworks Museum. We'll see the  original 1883 pump house and Appleby Bros Beam Engine on the banks of the Wollondilly River.

After a delicious lunch at The Roses Café we'll stroll to the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery for the opening of the Speaking colours exhibition. This is their gallery curated exhibition highlighting numerous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language groups. The exhibition presents works by artists from different language or clan groups. The works reference each artist's indigenous language through an indigenous language title or through incorporating indigenous text or symbols.

Our last stop will be the St Clair Villa Museum and Archives. We'll tour the house, colonial kitchen and inspect their current exhibition. Built in mid 1840s, this early provincial villa has been the home to the mayor, post master, a boarding house and family home. It is now a museum and local archive with a collection boasting photographs, maps, newspapers, diaries, textiles and domestic objects.
