An introduction to Indigenous Australia was developed by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). The website provides an entry-point to Indigenous culture and history for everyone: adults who want to learn what they weren't taught at school, migrants, tourists, trainers, institutions and departments and schools. The website introduces material for Indigenous Studies curricula throughout Australia, as well as large parts of Australian History and Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE).Flickerfest Filmmakers Resource

One of the 10 finalists for 2009 Excellence in e-Government Award (e-Award) is youthcentral, the Victorian State Government's online initiative connecting young people aged 12 to 25 with their local communities and government. More than 70 per cent of all content on youthcentral is produced by young people or in consultation with young people. Roving Reporters create multimedia productions such as digital stories, games, animations, and widespread consultation programs.
Tandanya

Established in 1989 in Adelaide, South Australia, Tandanya is Australia's oldest Aboriginal-owned and managed multi-arts centre. The word Tandanya comes from the language of the original inhabitants of the Adelaide plains, the Kaurna people (pronounced Garna), and means 'place of the Red Kangaroo'. Tandanya is celebrating 20 years in 2009 and continues to feature emerging and acclaimed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from throughout the country.
Gallipoli: The First Day

The ABC has unveiled its broadband documentary project in the lead-up to Anzac Day on 25 April, launching an interactive website that enables people to relive the first 24 hours of the Gallipoli landing. Gallipoli: The First Day is the broadband equivalent of a prime-time TV special, featuring a three-dimensional interactive map of Anzac Cove, built by the national broadcaster's Innovation unit, which brings together a number of multimedia elements.

The CAN portal is the public gateway to collecting institutions across Australia including small to medium regional institutions. Besides providing access to nationwide information on Australia's cultural heritage, members of the public can also access an individual institution's own CAN website to explore its specific content, including collection descriptions and objects, exhibitions and general events, news, useful tools, links and resources for people working in the sector.
Mapping our Anzacs

Mapping our Anzacs is a tool used to browse 375,971 records of service in the Australian Army during World War I according to the place of birth or enlistment. This tool gives you a new way of seeing Australia's involvement in World War I. There are over 375,000 World War I service records in the National Archives of Australia, from a time when the population of Australia was around five million. These records tell the stories not only of soldiers, but also of nurses, chaplains and others.

Australian playwrights have come a step closer to securing productions of their work in Australia and overseas with the launch of australianplays.org, a new e-commerce portal dedicated to the sale and promotion of Australian playscripts. The site was launched in New York at the New Dramatists Studio, America's premier playwright development centre, as part of the Australian Government's Australia Week program. It features more than 1,500 Australian playscripts, representing the work of some 500 playwrights.

The Writer's Guide to Making a Digital Living: Choose your own Adventure

The Writer's Guide was developed through the Australia Council's Story of the Future project to explore the craft and business of writing in the digital era. It includes case studies from Australia's rising generation of poets, novelists, screenwriters, games writers and producers who are embracing new media. The guide contains audio and video content from seminars and workshops, as well as extensive references to resources in Australia and beyond.
