2010 Atom Media awards - national

Entries are now officially open for the 2010 ATOM awards for achievements in film, television, animation and multimedia (including video games). Production houses, students, game developers, educational resource developers, independent film makers, documentary makers, animators, multimedia developers … anyone who has produced anything for the screen is encouraged to enter. This year, the ATOM Awards program will recognise and celebrate excellence, featuring 32 awards across three categories—student, educational/vocational and general. The awards program is presented by the Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM), so it has a strong focus on education.

Sydney Film Festival 2010 - national

The 57th Sydney Film Festival is now open for entries, including the 2010 Australian competition sections: the Dendy Awards for Australian Short Films' the Yoram Gross Animation Award; Foxtel Australian Documentary Prize; and the CRC Award.

Innovatives - national

Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) has launched an initiative across Australia called Innovatives. Entries are accepted throughout the year. The program is managed by a committee from AIMIA, ABC's Innovation division, Deloitte, Intel and GT Law to promote innovation in the Australian digital media industry. The aim of the program is to provide the innovator with the support they need to progress their idea from early concept stages to commercial launch.
